We are days away from the big sequester, and now the panic from the left has changed.

RUSH: I thought of 1984, the Macintosh ad from the Super Bowl in 1984, exact type of scenario, except Michelle Obama was actually the Dear Leader of this, obviously a totalitarian state.

RUSH: The sequester, ladies and gentlemen. Have you stocked up your food? Have you bought all your water? Have you got all the batteries that you're gonna need? Have you made plans to do without for months and months and months? 

RUSH: John Kerry, as you know, is the new secretary of state. His first gaffe has been recorded. 

RUSH: What is this an admission of, by the way? 

RUSH: What the low-information voter makes of all this is that Obama has been trying for four years. The point that we haven't yet arrived at -- and I don't know that we ever will with Obama -- is people do not question his motives, and they do not question his intent.

RUSH: You gotta deal with the optics. What's happening now is people are saying, "Why, we're even laying people off before the sequester, Mabel! Mabel, it's gonna be really bad. It's gonna be really bad because now people lose their jobs even before the sequester." So this is designed to create a picture of genuine pain and suffering, even before the sequester.

RUSH: I'm telling you this if you have some money saved up in an IRA or a 401(k). There's nothing imminent here, but these are the telltale signs. They're right there on the horizon -- and, remember, this bunch is cash strapped.

RUSH: Now, isn't this what American journalists used to do before the work began to exclusively represent the Democrat Party? 

RUSH: Here's a guy in the State-Run Media complaining. See, what Plante's saying is, "Gosh, we're in the State-Run Media. There ought to be some kind of loyalty here! But he's not including us anymore. He doesn't need us."
