Laura Anderson may have grown up in New Jersey, but she�s nothing like those characters from �Jersey Shore�. Between Columbia, South Carolina and coastal Georgia, she�s been in the South for almost half her life and loves it here!
Laura discovered her passion for radio when she was in high school and earned the Broadcasting Student of the Year award her senior year. From there, Laura earned an associate�s degree from a community college, and then moved south to earn her bachelor�s degree from the University of South Carolina�s School of Broadcast Journalism. While Laura roots for the Gamecocks, she�ll pull for Georgia and even her husband�s team, Clemson, when they�re not playing Carolina.
The moss-draped oaks, tidal creeks, and year-round birds and flowers are some of the reasons Laura finds it so enticing to live in the Savannah area. She�s also impressed by the easygoing nature of the people who live here. She�s been married for almost 10 years to a man from Port Royal, SC and they live in a house they had built near the marsh, just south of Savannah. She has two step-children in their early 20�s, a young daughter and a nearly 17-year old dog. Laura loves being a mom and a wife!
Causes important to Laura are anti-littering, protecting our children from sex offenders and abusers, and literacy and speaking well. When Laura�s passionate about something, she lets you know about it. Integrity is important to her, so Laura won�t recommend something she doesn�t believe in. She loves to laugh and to make people smile. Her favorite parts of having a job in radio are being able to help people and organizations, and being thought of as a friend rather than just a DJ. The latter is one reason why she�s spent 13 years on the air in Savannah.
