PRISM program shows the surveillance state is already here
It’s no small irony that 1984 was published 64 years ago yesterday. Earlier this year, Glenn was called a conspiracy theorist because he warned about the data collection of the federal government, all while the ribbon was being cut on the NSA’s vault in Utah. Of course, now that it’s in the Washington Post all Congress cares about is if they were spied on. Glenn discusses the latest details on the federal govt.’s domestic surveillance program on radio. Glenn details chilling White House conversation
Much to his critics’ surprise, when Glenn was on CNN he wasn’t afraid to criticize President George W. Bush — even when it wasn’t very popular with his viewers. However, unlike the current President, George W. Bush wasn’t afraid of a little criticism and didn’t try to silence and intimidate his opposition. Glenn was actually invited to the White House to sit down and discuss a few things with the Republican president. But what he learned during his brief time at the White House was alarming, and the news that broke yesterday about the NSA brought Glenn right back to that conversation. Find out why HERE.

“Stand to protect the rights of those we vehemently disagree with.” Glenn was the recipient of the Freedom of Speech Award during yesterday’s Talkers New York 2013 conference. After receiving the award, Glenn gave a rousing defense of the First Amendment WATCH.
Disgraced Media Matters misses the point
So that whole “protect the rights of those we vehemently disagree with” message really didn’t resonate with the disgraced and discredited Media Matters blog, best known for attempting to lead ineffective boycotts against anyone they disagree with. The “dopes” from MMFA provided their (un)insightful analysis of Glenn’s speech to the press which boiled down to: “Uh, we don’t believe it.” Please, tell us more before you retreat further into irrelevancy. Glenn responds HERE.
