Immediate opening for PROGRAM DIRECTOR of WQBT and
941TheBeat.com, Savannah.
The summary of duties: successful candidate will
provide direction, organization, creativity and strategy regarding the music,
talent, promotions and production necessary to produce a marketable and
sellable radio station and website.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
-Planning and overseeing all on-air and website
programming and production,
-Meeting with programming and sales staffs to
brainstorm, plan and execute marketing, promotions and imaging campaigns,
-Evaluate programming available from distributors,
syndicators and independent producers to recommend acquisitions for broadcast
and web streaming,
-Prepare and perform on-air shift, remotes and
appearances as required,
-Develop and coach on-air staff and trackers by
performing air checks,
-Monitor and evaluate music selected on the station
and website,
-Schedule staff for air shifts, remotes and
appearances,
-Prepare budgets for WQBT programming,
-Maintain blog and personality pages on station’s
websites,
-Maintain Company standards regarding payola and
plugola policies for the station and for all staff participating on the
station,

Successful candidate will do promotional production
in various format categories, create and help execute contesting, marketing and
all promotions, provide creativity and strategy regarding the promotions and
production necessary to produce a marketable and sellable radio stations and
websites.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
-Mining all formats for web content,
-Participating with programming and sales staffs to
brainstorm, plan and execute marketing, promotions and imaging campaigns,
-Prepare and perform on-air shift, remotes and
appearances as required,
-Produce station imaging and event promos in all
format categories,
-Monitor and help evaluate station execution and
website execution,
-Maintain blog and personality pages on station’s
websites as required,
-Maintain Promo Suite for all contesting on all
stations,
-Manage PEA staff for remote appearances and events,
plus manage station fleet of promotional vehicles maintaining clean and safe
vans and cars,
-Maintain Company standards regarding payola and
plugola policies for the station and for all staff participating on the
station,
-Additional responsibilities as assigned.
This is NOT an entry-level position.Computer experience with Pro Tools in
production is required.
